Slab Duct Video Inspections

In-slab ductwork is when the HVAC ductwork is literally constructed within the foundation floor slab. It was a very common practice decades ago here in Oklahoma. In fact, my own 1980s home has in-slab ductwork. Slab ductwork can be susceptible to more problems that attic ductwork. The ductwork can deteriorate over the years, resulting in sand or groundwater intrusion or sometimes collapse. Having the vent openings in the floor can also allow trash, dirt, bugs, and random toys to collect in the duct boot if homewoners do not routinely vacuum them out. 

A ductwork video inspection is an optional inspection you may want to consider, whether you are buying a home with slab duct or are a current owner of a home with slab duct.  I will insert a special camera in all accessible floor vents and provide you with photos or video of the ductwork's condition. 

Fee for most homes: $190 with a home inspection.
